Mastroberardino is one of Italy's great historic wineries. Located in the heart of Campania, the winery focuses on indigenous varietals, like Aglianico from Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino,

and Greco di Tufo. 

First bottled in 1928, Mastroberardino Taurasi

is famous for being incredibly age-worthy.

After tasting a wide range of Taurasis, including

the legendary 1968, we will sample a newer

project of the winery. Since 1996, vines have

been planted in the ancient city of Pompeii,

and Mastroberardino is the only producer

to have access to them.

In homage to Pompeii and its culture,

'Villa dei Misteri' is made with Piedirosso

and an ancient varietal called Sciascinoso.

Needless to say, this is an incredibly rare and unique opportunity, as production of
'Villa dei Misteri' rarely exceeds 150 cases, and the 1968 Taurasi is coming directly 
from the winery.
