An evening with Silvia Imparato

Thursday, September 4th 2008
Crafted in the enchanting region of Campania, Montevetrano is a super-premium, limited-production wine with a complex and a seducing personality. Proprietress Silvia Imparato indulged in wine as a hobby until she decided to rebuild her family's vineyards at Montevetrano. She employs the skills of highly regarded winemaker Riccardo Cotarella to produce a wine with outstanding concentration and finesse. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Campania’s indigenous Aglianico, Montevetrano has helped to put the often underestimated region on the map. Montevetrano is in the hills near the commune of San Cipriano Picentino, not far from Salerno. The property is surrounded by mountains, but the vineyards are situated on gentle slopes facing south by southwest. The heart of the estate is a beautiful, ancient villa. Within a very short period of time Cotarella and Imparato have teamed to produce a unique wine of outstanding quality. Considered “The Father” of his wines, Cotarella is particularly proud of Montevetrano, as it is the very first of many iconic red wines that launched the internationally-acclaimed consultant to fame.
Join us for a very special evening, as Silvia Imparato will be our guests on this visit to the United States. We will be serving a wide range of wines to accompany Suzette’s exquisite cooking.
